My my at Waterloo Napoleon did surrender! It’s the day in this post we look for the all details and everything you need to know about the First-Semi Final of #Melfest 2016.

Semi-Final 1

Semi-Final 1 will held in Gothenburg, Scandinavium where host the Eurovision in 1985 after Herrey’s immortal song Diggi-Loo,Diggi Ley. Scandinavium also hosted one semi-final of Melodifestivalen since 2002 every year.

Hosts

Main host of #Melfest 2016 is Gina Dirawi and for semi-final 1 amazing Petra Mede will be co-hosting to her. Petra Mede already hosted #Melfest 2009 and Eurovision 2013. You can remember her from that 2013 interval act

Singers

Yes it takes 6 weeks, yes they have beautiful interval acts, yes hosts are really good but main point of #Melfest is amazing songs. Some people say winning #Melfest is harder then winning Eurovision. But there’s a real fact that even if you send a song which eliminated in semi final it can make top 5 in Eurovision.

1-Mimi Werner

She’s a new singer that she made her debut to the music market in 2015 with the song Forever Again feat. Josh Jenkins

And her #Melfest song “Ain’t No Good” which written by herself, Göran Werner, Marcus Svedin and Jason Saenz. And an important information she likes to sing in country style so we will see which type of song she will sing in Mello

2-Samir&Viktor

Did they sound familiar? Yes, They are because they reached the final in 2015 from Andra Chansen with the song “Groupie”. And they came 8th in the final.

Their song’s name is “Bada Nakna” and it means “Swim Naked” and if you remember Samir and Viktor you can understand that they will serve a really hot song to us. Song written by Fredrik Kempe, David Kreuger and Anderz Wrethov. Fredrik Kempe co-writer of the songs like Hero, Undo, Blame It On The Disco, Moving On and more actually he wrote the song “Popular” for Eric Saade all alone.

3-Robin Bengtsson

This will be his first appearance in #Melfest. First TV appearance was in 2008 and he came 3rd in Swedish Idol He has 4 singles right know and best place was #8 on Swedish single charts.

His song named “Constellation Price” and written by Bobby Ljunggren, Henrik Wikström, Mark Hole, Martin Eriksson.

4-Ace Wilder

I’m sure you will remember 33 years old but look likes 19 years old singer from 2014 and after one year of break she is returning to #Melfest. Actually In 2014 she won the jury voting but Sanna Nielsen beat her with televoting and Ace came second after Sanna.Here is the Ace’s 2014 song “Busy Doing Nothin”

Her song’s name is “Don’t Worry” for #Melfest 2016. And It’s written by herself, Joy Deb, Linnea Deb and Anton Hård af Segerstad. Three of them co-writers of Eurovision 2015 winner “Heroes”.

5-Pernilla Andersson

After five years she will make her second appearance in 2016. Unfortunately she eliminated in Andre Chanson in 2011 with the song Desperados. She is the singing coach for the TV-program True Talent.

Her song’s name is “Mitt Guld” for 2016 which means “My Gold”. And written by herself and Fredrik Rönnqvist.

6-Albin Johnsén & Mattias Andréasson

Albin is one of the fresh-man’s of #Melfest 2016. He relased his first album in 2015 but he is recording singles since 2013. And Mattias will make his second appareance in #Melfest after 2012. He sang the song “Förlåt Mig” but unfortunately he couldn’t qualify. Here Mattias’s Melfest song in 2012

Their song called “Rik” in English that means “Rich”. And their song only written by theirselves.

Guest-Anna Book: Disqualified

She has attended to #Melfest in 1986,1987,2007. While her first attendance she was only 16 years old and she got her best place in 1986 too with the song “ABC”. Also she participated in Let’s Dance, in 2006 and finished in second place with dancer David Watson. And this is her 2007 song “Samba Sambero” which written by Thomas G:son.

Yesterday just after the 30-second #Melfest snippets fans found out that Anna Book’s song had already competed in Moldovian National final in 2014. Last night after the news SVT made an press conference and had announced that song has disqualified from the #Melfest 2016.

They offered to Anna to sing as a guest artist and this morning SVT has announced that she will sing as guest at the first part of first Semi-Final.

Actually only song was the same lyrics were totally different and Swedish but still the same tune. Everybody says that Anna Book didn’t know anything about this she is really sad. Frederik Kempe who is a big song writer in Sweden offered a song to Anna Book for #Melfest 2017. Here are the related songs:

Pernilla Andersson

On stage there will be musicians and a harp on the stage.She will be playing guitar like in 2011. Main colors on the stage are amber, gold and copper.

Samir And Viktor

Again they will have a dancers like in last year. And lights mainly will be in white and blue.

Mimi Werner

She will have a big carpet and a guitar on the stage and she will have dancers toasting will be mainly in orange, gold and white.

Robin Beingtsson

His back-vocallists will be hidden and he will have LED-Screens on the floor. He will have illuminator lights which are like Ellen Bennediktson’s in 2014.

Ace Wilder

She will have lightning system which will be lowered from the stage. The colors are white, gold and purple. She is the first person who has performed on the stage first.
