After two weeks of Semi-Final’s in Iceland tonight Söngvakeppnin’s Final will be held in place in Reykjavík. It will be hosted by Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir and Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir. Unlikely to Semi-finals song will be sing in the language that artists will sing in Eurovision. Beside “A Ny” other five songs will be sing in English. It’s Iceland’s 30th year in contest so RUV(Iceland’s National Broadcaster) will award the writers and the composer of the winning song with 1 million Icelandic króna. Guests will be the 2012’s winner Loreen and Eurovision youngest winner Sandra Kim.
Voting System
First round will be 50/50 Jury and televoting. Then first two place will go to second round. Second Round will be only televoting and winner will have the right to represent Iceland in Stockholm.

They will try their chance with the song “Hugur minn er” and it means “My Mind Is” In English. They’ve translated the song as “I Promised You Then”

3-Karlotta Sigurðardóttir
Song: Eye Of The Storm
“Óstöðvandi” is one of the strong entries of Söngvakeppnin 2016. It’s an original song with a good voice. It has a nice vibe Goofd Luck Karlotta. It means “Unstoppable” in English. They have translated as “Eye Of The Storm”

4-Þórdís Birna Borgarsdóttir & Guðmundur Snorri Sigurðarson
Song: Ready to Break Free
Their song was “Spring yfir heiminn” in the semi-final it has rap parts so that made a fan-base for them who knows maybe they would represent Iceland in Stockholm.
Both English and Icelandic had written by Júlí Heiðar Halldórsson and Guðmundur Snorri Sigurðarson.
5-Alda Dís Arnardóttir
Song: Now
She is one of the favorites by the fans for tonight. She sang “Augnablick” in Semi.
Icelandic had written by herself, Alma Guðmundsdóttir, James Wong but English version had written without her.
6-Elísabet Ormslev
Song: A Ny
She will be the only singer who sings in Icelandic. That could put additional points to her.
