Montenegro is another country that selected its representative and song for Eurovision today. Montenegro held the national final called Montevizija for the first time after 2009. This year they’ve selected their representative and the song for Eurovision with this competition, again.
After the purchase of the songs, the jury panel which includes 5 people, evaluated the songs and as a result of the evaluations, 27 songs were reduced to 10 songs and then 5 songs.
Andrea Demirovic, one of the participants of this year, was eliminated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song “Just Get Out Of My Life” as the 11th place in the semifinal.
Nina Petkovic and Ivana Popovic competed in the national final last year but; both of them lost the first place to Vanja Radovanovic.
Another remarkable detail in this national final is that; 4 out of 5 participants are female artists.

Voting is started after all participants’ performances. The final night’s vote was held in two rounds. In the first round, the first two artists -D-moll and Ivana Popović Martinović- qualified by the jury and public vote, and they took a place in the second round directly.
D-moll, the winner of the second round, qualified to represent Montenegro at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. D-moll will be in the first semi-final in May and will fight for the take a ticket to the grand final.
