On monday we will learn all participants of Melodifestivalen 2016 but today we have another special gossip about Melodifestivalen 2016’s participants. Swedish newspaper has added Anna Book, SaRaha and After Dark their list…Anna Book:

45 years old Swedish pop singer has participated Melodifestivalen in 1986 (“ABC”), 1987 (“Det finns en morgondag”) and 2007 (“Samba Sambero” -written by Thomas G:son).

After Dark:

After Dark is a Swedish drag act was founded by Christer Lindarw in 1976. The group participated Melodifestivalen 2004 and 2007. According to Nöjesbladet the group will celebrate their 40th year with Melodifestivalen 2016.

SaRaha (Sara Larsson):

32 years old SaRaha grew up in Sweden and Tanzania. Her first album released in Tanzania after that last March she released single in Sweden.

Sara Larsson, known as SaRaha, was born in Sweden in 1983. At the age of two, she moved to Tanzania with her parents, where she spent long periods of her childhood. She returned as an adult to live in Tanzania in 2009 and quickly became a part of the East African Pop music scene.

SaRaha has been composing, singing and performing her music since her late teens, in Sweden and Zimbabwe, where she has worked with different types of pop music and performed with different band constellations. In 2009 she revisited Tanzania and discovered the East African pop music, which has been her musical focus since then. In 2011 she started working under her stage name SaRaha.

The video for a short acoustic version of SaRaha’s first Swahili song, Tanesco, was played daily on TBC1 during 2011. She became cemented as a Tanzanian artist after featuring the artist Akil in the song My Dear which was released in July 2011. The video following the song was nominated in the category ‘best video’ in Kilimanjaro Music Awards 2012. Since then SaRaha has been releasing singles that have received a lot of attention in the Tanzanian media. She has also worked together with other Tanzanian Hip Hop and Afro pop artists, such as Fid Q, Makamua, Joh Makini, Linex and Chidi Beenz.

During the last few years SaRaha has done some major live performances, Miss Tanzania, ZIFF (Zanzibar International Film Festival) and Kilimanjaro Music Awards to mention a few. She has also appeared in Tanzanian TV shows such as Bongo Beats – StarTV, Ben na Mei – TBC and The Chidi Beenz Show.

In 2013 SaRaha entered the global music competition GLOBAL ROCKSTAR with her song Jambazi. Competing with artists from 72 countries from all over the world, SaRaha achieved second place.

During 2014 SaRaha’s music has started getting airtime on major radio stations in Sweden, and her song Mbele Kiza entered the main Swedish pop charts “Svensktoppen”. In April she released her album Mbele Kiza following the two singles Dadido and Shemeji.

In March 2015 she released her first single in Swedish, Yerere.
