Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group has taken some decisions about short-term and long-term future of the contest. One of the these decisions says : Big 5 & host country appairs in the Semi-finals.
The six countries will remain to be pre-qualified for the Grand Final.They will been performing in semi-finals in which they will vote. This will be determined during the Semi-Final Allocation Draw in late January. Until recently, only for two countries is clear; Germany & Israel will perform in secondsemi final.
“It will look so much better to show the Big Five and the host country on the Eurovision Song Contest stage, performing their act as it will be in the Grand Final,” says Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the contest on behalf of the EBU and he leaves off “From here on, its in the hands of these six countries to pick great entries for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest”.
As you know these six countries had rehearsed in only last days during the concest program. But the new decision provides more facilities to big 5 & host country. They have more times for promotional opportunities and more relax times to rehearsel.
