Eurovision Song Contest is getting more popular and taking more attention in Australia since 2009, although it wasn’t broadcasting.

A couple weeks ago Australian national broadcast SBS gave a statement that they’re preparing to be in Eurovision Song Contest 2015. But the main question is: Did they mean that they’ll be a guest, or will they be a participant?

According to the rumours, Ebu is discussing about debuting of Australia this week. If the participation of Australia will approved, the number of participants will increase to 40. Actually EBU will build a bridge between Australia and Europe with this decision.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that, however national broadcast of Australia, SBS, is not an active member, they are one of an agreed member. Because of that, if they’ll win, nevertheless they won’t be the host country.
